Susan Benny, Legal Assistant, joined the firm in 2002, after 25 years of service as a courtroom clerk and Court Division Chief with the Alameda County Superior Court Clerk’s Office. Her responsibilities include data collection and analysis on behalf of clients, document preparation and service of pleadings. She is the principal office liaison with judges, their staff, administrative agencies such as the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Corrections, with law enforcement agencies, criminal defense firms, and public defender’s offices. Her priority is in meeting with and keeping each client well informed on the progress of his or her case.
Lynn Rogan, Finance, Accounts and Office Manager, has been a dedicated member of the firm since 1993. She oversees the administration of Professional Service Agreements and the accounts of all clients, whether general deposits or trust funds. In addition, she administers funding for outside contractors on behalf of each client. These may include retained experts such as physicians, toxicologists, ballistic and accident reconstruction specialists, investigators or laboratories. She prepares scrupulous periodic statements of account, billings and accountings for the benefit of each client. Her priority is to see that each client is, at all times, informed and protected in the administration of his or her funds.
