Teen alleges being sexually assaulted

A 15-year-old girl is claiming that two men, ages 24 and 30 locked her in a metal box and sexually assaulted her at a marijuana farm in Northern California. Both men face state charges relating to child sexual abuse that included unlawful sex with a minor and kidnapping to commit robbery or rape. In addition, the 30-year-old man faces charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.

It appears that the girl, who worked at the farm trimming plants, was held in a metallic toolbox that was approximately four feet long. The girl claims she was told she was being put in the box to teach her about a point the men had to prove. She also said the men thought of the farm as a mission and locked her in the box to protect the farm. The box was tilted at an angle so a hose could wash the girl off without opening the box. She claims that both men engaged in sex acts with her, and complimented her for not screaming when she was locked in the toolbox.

In April, the Los Angeles Police Department requested assistance from the Lake County Sheriff's Department regarding a missing underage girl. She was traced by a cell phone call to a hotel in Sacramento. At that time, she was with the 24-year-old man. The girl was placed in protective custody and the man was arrested. The 30-year-old man was taken into custody at a later date.

An individual charged with a sex crime may benefit from consulting a criminal attorney. An attorney can review the case and help build a defense that may help the defendant avoid a potentially long prison term, fines and inclusion on the sexual offender register.
