Woman facing felony DUI charge after fatal crash

The California Highway Patrol believe that a pregnant Clovis woman may have been under the influence of alcohol when she caused an accident on May 20 that claimed the life of a 47-year-old man. The 23-year-old woman is said to be facing a raft of charges including felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. Police also say that her license had previously been suspended due to a prior drunk driving conviction.

FBI director blames spike in crime on viral videos

Many California residents have watched videos of police brutality that were taken on mobile phones. These raw videos often go viral on the Internet and inspire other people to film police officers during confrontations. Recently, FBI Director James Comey claimed that the 'viral video effect" causes police officers to be less aggressive and can also be blamed for a recent spike in violent crimes.

Former rapper affiliated with Jay Z pleads guilty to DWI

California music lovers may have heard that the 42-year-old rapper Wais P, who was briefly signed with Jay Z's recording company many years ago, pleaded guilty to his third DWI charge on April 25. The rapper, whose given name is Malcolm Byer, had been taken into custody in 2014 after he was charged with driving while intoxicated.
