Joseph J. Cox grew up in Oakdale, California, and later attended Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, on a baseball and academic scholarship. While there, he was both a university honors student as well as a Sunshine State Conference scholar. He graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences Degree (B.S.) in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management.
After graduating from college, Mr. Cox attended Western Michigan University, Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where he served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law. He was awarded the Outstanding Associate Editor Award for his work on the law journal, and earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree, graduating with honors (Cum Laude) in January 2011.
Upon his graduation from law school, Mr. Cox returned to California and obtained employment with the Law Offices of Timothy B. Rien, where he worked under the guidance of Mr. Rien and Ms. Adams. He spends countless hours in the courtroom advocating for clients accused of every type of crime, whether it’s negotiating with prosecutors or conducting jury trials. Mr. Cox is committed to providing zealous representation to each client and understands that every case is the most important case to each client.
